Becoming Earth: How Our Planet Came to Life
A 4-part January Zoom program with Methow at Home
The Earth packed with life. There are an estimated 8 to 9 million different species on Earth. A single teaspoon of healthy soil contains billions of microorganisms. The human body is made up of trillions of human cells, and at least as many bacterial cells. Yet on the early Earth there was no life at all. How did the planet become so lively?
That's the story that Ferris Jabr explores in his book, Becoming Earth, and it is the story we will explore in this weekly Methow at Home zoom program, on January 5, 12, 19 and 26 from Noon to 1 PM. We will also bring the story home, as we relate the evolutionary story of life to the evolutionary journey of the Methow.
