The first-ever William Stafford Peace Festival will take place in Twisp on Saturday and Sunday, September 19-20, 2026. The festival is presented by Root.ED Nature School with the Confluence Poets in commemoration of International Peace Day, in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the William Stafford poetry readings in the Methow Valley, and in solidarity with actively waging peace throughout our community.
Featuring a variety of activities, workshops, talks and music, the two days are designed to cultivate community and connection. The festival will culminate in the 10th annual William Stafford Poetry Reading on Sunday, September 20th from 3-5 pm at The Confluence: Art in Twisp.
